2. Choose the type of pressure gauge Pressure gauge
(1). When used to measure viscosity or acid-base and other special media, you should choose diaphragm pressure gauge, stainless steel spring tube, stainless steel core, stainless steel shell or bakelite shell. According to the measured medium, the pressure gauge should have the specified color code and the name of the special medium. The oxygen meter must be marked with the words "No Oil" in red, the dark green lower horizontal line color code for hydrogen, and the color code for ammonia Yellow underline color code and so on.
(2). When installing against a wall, a pressure gauge with edges should be used; when installing directly on a pipe, a pressure gauge without edges should be used; when directly measuring gas, a pressure gauge with a safety hole behind the case should be used. For the consideration of the pressure measurement position and the convenience of observation and management, the size of the case diameter should be selected.
(3). According to the purpose of the pressure gauge, it can be divided into ordinary pressure gauge, ammonia pressure gauge, oxygen pressure gauge, electric contact pressure gauge, remote transmission pressure gauge, vibration-resistant pressure gauge, pressure gauge with inspection pointer, double needle double tube or double needle single Tube pressure gauge, digital display pressure gauge, digital precision pressure gauge, etc.
3. Selection of the accuracy level of the pressure gauge
(1). The accuracy level of the pressure gauge reflects the accuracy of the closeness of the indicated value to the true value during the comparison between the tested gauge and the precision gauge. It is equal to the percentage of the ratio of the absolute value of the maximum basic error to the upper limit of the measurement, and is determined according to the size of the error generated in the calibration.
(2). my country's general industrial pressure gauges are divided into 4 accuracy levels, which conform to the allowable error of the pressure gauges in the verification regulations of JJG52-1999 "Bronze Tube General Pressure Gauges, Pressure Vacuum Gauges and Vacuum Gauges". The four accuracy levels are: level 1, level 1.6, level 2.5, and level 4. Allowable errors (calculated as a percentage of the upper limit of measurement) are ±1 percent , ±1.6 percent , ±2.5 percent , ±4 percent , respectively.
(3). In 2005, my country's new digital pressure gauge verification regulations were announced and implemented, which complies with JJG875-2005 "Digital Pressure Gauge Verification Regulations." The pressure accuracy is specified as ±0.01 percent , ±0.02 percent , ±0.05 percent , ±0.1 percent , ±0.2 percent , ±0.5 percent , ±1.0 percent , ±1.6 percent . (4). The method of reasonably selecting the accuracy level of the pressure gauge should be based on the requirements of the production process, economy and practicality, and detection methods, and the accuracy level should be selected according to the allowable error required by the minimum value of the measured pressure.
4. Selection of the quality of the pressure gauge
(1). The spring tube of the general pressure gauge is a tubular spring that has a certain cross-sectional shape (commonly used are flat round and approximately elliptical), bent into a "C" shape, and can meet certain elastic requirements . If the spring tube is too small, it will affect the accuracy level of the pressure gauge.
(2). If the indication value of the pressure gauge exceeds the allowable error, the indication adjustment screw of the gauge should be adjusted. If the gauge does not have an indication adjustment screw, the gauge can only be judged as unqualified.
(3). The indexing numbers and symbols of the pressure gauge dial should be complete and clear. The indexing scales of the dial should be evenly distributed, and the center angle of the package should generally be 270 degree . The pointer of the pressure gauge should extend into all the graduation lines, and the width of the pointer indicating end should not be greater than 1/5 of the minimum indexing interval. The distance between the pointer and the plane of the index plate should be within the range of 1 to 3mm. If the outer diameter of the case is more than 200mm (including 200mm), the distance between the pointer and the plane of the index plate should be within the range of 2 to 4mm.
(4). For pressure gauges with a stop pin, the pointer should be close to the stop pin when there is no pressure or vacuum, and the "indentation" shall not exceed the specified allowable error.
(5). The case of the pressure gauge should be able to protect the internal parts from contamination. The pressure gauge should be equipped with a safety hole, and the safety hole must have a dust-proof device. 6. Digital pressure gauge. It depends on the rationality of the overall structure, the selected materials, the aging process of electronic components, and long-term stability.

(3). There should be a buffer at the front end of the installed pressure gauge; in order to facilitate inspection, a shut-off valve should be installed under the meter; when the medium is dirty or there is pulse pressure, filters, buffers and stabilized gas can be used.
6. Pressure gauges should be regularly overhauled and maintained
(1). After a period of use and pressure, the pressure gauge movement will inevitably show some deformation and wear, and the pressure gauge will produce various errors and failures. In order to ensure its original accuracy without distortion of the value transmission, it should be replaced in time to ensure that the instructions are correct, safe and reliable.
(2). The pressure gauge should be cleaned regularly. Because the inside of the pressure gauge is not clean, it will increase the wear of various parts, which will affect its normal operation, and will seriously cause the pressure gauge to malfunction and become scrapped.
(3). According to the regulations of JJG52-1999, the verification period of the pressure gauge installed in the pressure measuring position generally does not exceed half a year.
(4). The medium at the pressure measurement site has large fluctuations, frequent use, high accuracy requirements, and strict requirements on safety factors, and the verification period can be appropriately shortened according to the specific conditions.
